Week #3

Blog #3 of 2026

Another week has passed into 2026, so it's time for blog #3. This week, though, sadly, it's going to be a shorter one. I've had a busy week of work and cleaning, so I didn't get as much done as I'd like. But what have I done, you might ask?

Week of cleaning.

Last week, I took some time to tidy up around my house, organizing and sorting things that had been cluttering it. Old paperwork in file cabinets that needed shredding, cleaning up my bookshelves, and LEGO displays, over the last year or so, I've kinda just been adding things to my bookshelves without any order. Displaying some memorabilia and mementos from my grandpa that I never got put up. And finally, the biggest accomplishment for me this week, as far as cleaning goes, is getting my 3D printer working again. It definitely takes some patience and perseverance, but I'm happy to have it churning out prints once again. Maybe I'll add a 3d printing stream or video up in the future... now there's a thought.

Virtual Photography

It has been nice getting back into virtual photography. Posts have been going out daily to X, Bluesky, and Instagram, so make sure to follow and like me on my socials. Links are at the top of this page. So far, it's been mostly Assassin's Creed: Shadows photos, but who knows what game might be next. I know I'm not the best photographer or editor, but I am learning all the time, and I vow that by next year at this time, I will be a better photographer and editor. It seems Lightroom is a big one; a lot of the Virtual Photographers I follow use it.

Discord

I am still working on figuring out a new layout for Discord. I know, for the most part, my Discord is not very active, but, like everything else in my life, I am looking to improve every aspect of it this year. So with that, I have started posting daily to the Music category with some songs that cross my playlists throughout the day. You can now find me active on Discord as well, so don't be a stranger and drop a line! If there is anything you would like to see in the Discord that is missing or isn't used enough, please comment below.

Youtube & Streams

I have some episodes of my Horizons playthrough worked up and at various levels of production, starting to release on Saturday, the 24th, with weekly episode drops, so keep an eye out for those. Streams are still in the works for the future. I have been dabbling a bit in After Effects and working on creating my own custom scenes instead of just using my old ones. So keep an eye out for a Live notification as I test my setup one of these nights. It's not lost on me that February 8th is also fast approaching; 5 years ago, on that day, was one of the happiest days of my life. I felt like I was at the top of the world, but sometimes you have to fall just to make getting back up again even more powerful. I am definitely on that upward swing again. It's been nice being able to keep working towards a happier future.

Final Conclusions

Ok, that ended up being a little more than I thought I'd write, and I'm sure there are a million other things I could talk or write about. Thats one problem with a brain that suffers from ADD: you never lack for things to say. Hope you enjoyed this weekly glance into my days.
