A Missed Week
A week late
Yes, I'm guilty; I missed my blog post last week. The last few weeks have brought a range of problems to my life. Power issues, network issues, heat issues, audio technical issues, streamer drama, relationship issues, and health issues all cropped up, to name a few. I've been slowly working through all the problems that I have control over, while waiting out the ones I don't. I've been trying to stay in good spirits and not let seasonal depression take root again. Before moving to Arizona, I didn't know there was such a thing as seasonal depression, but with temperatures already hitting 100°F and not even being April yet, I totally get it now. I'm keeping my head up, though, and trying to work through the things I can and the things I have control over. With SlothDaughter coming out, I have been working on getting my house and yard in order between work and everything else I have to do. All of this ment my blog was skipped last week so I appologize for that.
Audio Technical Issues
So my audio mixer decided to give me issues, which completely put a stop to my voice recordings, live streams, and basically anything to do with my mic. I have gotten the mixer working somewhat, but I am still having difficulties getting the audio to "sound" right. The hard part is doing this between all the other things I have to do. I am most likely going to go live at some point and hope it sounds good enough, even though it will sound different from previously. I can only do so much; I am not an audio engineer by any means. And audio issues really suck!
April Approaching
March kinda slipped away from me these last few weeks with all the issues I mentioned previously, so April is going to be a month of re-focusing on the things I want to get done this year. I want to bring back some brick building streams and have to set up my camera system again. I will be posting in Discord the sets that I plan to build so people can check them out, and if there is a set someone likes, they can pick it up and build along while watching me build them. Also, in April, my daughter will be coming down after not seeing her for 2 years. She will be here April 19th through May 7th. I am not sure if I will be able to get many streams in, but I still might be able to get one or two in, so keep an eye out for the notifications.
Final Conclusions
I am still debating the future of this blog, my content, and my life, and honestly might keep this blog just as a journal of what I am going through this year so next year I can look back and get a reminder of the struggles and successes from this year. The pressure of trying to force this to be something it will not work for me, so I have to constantly re-evaluate my processes and the way I approach things, always looking to find what works best. In the end, I got to do me and be me, some people will enjoy what I do and others won't. As time goes on, I learn to be more accepting of who I am, what I am, and what I offer, and hope those who stick around will enjoy the time with me and my content. If anyone gets anything from this blog I hope it will be some inspiration, whether it be to write your own blog, start a new hobby or a new carear, but whatever it is keep going even if you have to change things, or re-evaluate things even if its yourself, continue to grow and strive to be the best you that you can be. And Its ok if you stumble and fall, just pick yourself back up again and continue on. Life is a miraculous journey and I for one am happy to be on it even through the pitfalls and disappointments.
